Rich is a well-respected and well-known personal financial advisor who provides financial planning services for individuals in conjunction with three professional colleagues and five staff.

 

He has been active in professional organizations at the national level. Rich currently serves on the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Financial Planning, the principle peer-reviewed publication for certified financial planning practitioners. He recently served on the CFP Board of Practice Standards and developed mandatory standards for all 40,000 CFP certificants nationwide. Earlier, he was elected to the National Board of International Association for Financial Planning, where he chaired the National Ethics Committee and the Conference for Advanced Planning. He was also president of their Los Angeles chapter.

 

Rich is interviewed in professional and trade publications for topics such as asset allocation, investment selection, advisor selection, employee stock options and retirement planning strategies. He was a panelist at the popular Los Angeles Times Investment Strategies Conferences, was featured in a "Money Makeover" article in that publication, and has also been featured in Worth Magazine and Los Angeles Magazine. Rich co-authored "Elements of Retirement Planning" in Financial Planning for Physicians and Healthcare Professionals, published by Harcourt in 2000 (529 pages) and re-published in two later editions.

 

He has a B.S. in Economics from Purdue University and lives in Rancho Palos Verdes with his wife Beth.
